740. Time flies 😳 it was a year ago today that we capped off our magical Paris trip by running into Ina and Jeffrey at Verjus!!!! Celebrating that fabulous night by cracking into a quintessentially French dessert: Crème brûlée! It's funny how dishes that once intimidated you can seem so easy with a couple of years of baking under your belt! This vanilla custard was a creamy, rich, decadent treat. Bought a small kitchen blow torch to ensure the perfect caramelized sugar topping to crack into. Also tried a batch of these under the broiler with mixed results – so I'll be sticking with the blow torch method.
